Dorian’s 18th VLGC Delivered

Connecticut-based owner and operator of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers Dorian LPG has taken delivery of ECO very large gas carrier (VLGC) Challenger from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.

The 84,000 cbm Challenger will trade in the Helios LPG Pool, according to the company.

The vessel is Dorian’s eighteenth newbuilding delivery.

Dorian LPG now owns and operates 21 VLGCs, including the newly-delivered gas carrier, and one pressurized LPG vessel.

Additionally, Dorian LPG has one more 84,000 cbm ECO VLGC newbuilding under construction at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.

The vessel is expected to join Dorian’s fleet in 2016.
