Dorian LPG Adds Cheyenne to Its VLGC Fleet

Liquefied petroleum gas shipping company Dorian LPG Ltd. has taken delivery of the ECO very large gas carrier (VLGC) Cheyenne from Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (SHI).

The Cheyenne features 84,000 cbm in capacity and is equipped with an ME-G Type engine. It is Dorian LPG’s 13th newbuilding delivery and will trade in the Helios LPG Pool.

Dorian LPG has six more ECO VLGC newbuildings under construction at Korean yards, Hyundai SHI and Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME).

Out of that, four LPG vessels are slated for delivery by the end of the year, with two more scheduled to join Dorian LPG’s fleet in 2016.

The company currently owns and operates 16 modern VLGCs and one pressurized LPG vessel.
