Kyokuyo Shipyard Delivers Third Epic LPG Carrier

Singapore-based owner and operator of pressurised gas carriers, Epic Gas Ltd, has taken delivery of the third in the company’s series of four owned 11,000 cbm liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers ordered at Kyokuyo Shipyard, Japan.

The LPG carrier Epic Samos was delivered on November 30, 2016, Epic Gas said.

The deliveries of two more 11,000 cbm vessels, Epic Sardinia, to be delivered to Epic Gas under a bareboat charter, and Epic Salina, from Kyokuyo Shipyard are scheduled for the first quarter of 2017.

Epic Gas also has a fully funded 7,500cbm newbuilding gas carrier, Epic Baluan, on order at Japan’s Sasaki Shipyard, scheduled for delivery by the end of 2016.

The company currently controls a fleet of 41 fully pressurised gas carriers providing seaborne services for the transportation of liquefied petroleum gas and petrochemicals.
