CSBC Corporation Bags Feeder Duo
Image Courtesy: CSBCTaiwanese shipbuilder CSBC Corporation has won a contract to build two 1,800 TEU container vessels for Prevalence Holding Limited.
Under the contract signed on May 31st, the company also has an option for construction of an additional feeder vessel of the same size.
The two container ships are due for delivery in 2017, Taipei-listed CSBC said in a filing.
Financial details of the contract have not been disclosed.
This is the first contract the Taiwanese builder announced this year on the stock exchange.
CSBC has ten 2,800 TEU, class B-type feeder ships on order from Taiwan’s Evergreen Group, the parent company of Evergreen Line.
The boxships, ordered in 2015, are planned to start delivery during the second half of 2017 with the completion of the series due by the first half of 2018. The vessels are planned to be deployed in the intra-Asia trade.
