2M Alliance Bolsters North Europe-US Service

2M Alliance Bolsters North Europe-US Service

Two of the world’s biggest container liners - Maersk Line and the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) - have through their 2M vessel sharing alliance introduced a fourth service between North Europe and the United States starting this April.

The fourth service is a part of the 2M’s East-West Network, and it will complement the three existing loops by calling at Antwerp, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, New York and Savannah.

The reshuffling means that the existing three services will remove some of the calls at the ports covered by the new service, and will have the following rotation:

ATL1: Antwerp - Rotterdam - Bremerhaven - Norfolk - Charleston – Miami - Houston (US flag);

ATL2: Bremerhaven - Felixstowe - Antwerp - Le Havre - New York - Baltimore - Norfolk,

ATL 3: Antwerp – Felixstowe – Rotterdam – Bremerhaven – Le Havre – Charleston – Freeport – Veracruz – Altamira – New Orleans – Mobile.
