CKYHE Alliance Sets Sights on US Trades

The CKYHE Alliance (COSCO, “K” LINE, Yang Ming, Hanjin Shipping, and Evergreen Line) has submitted a Filing Agreement to the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) in an effort to expand their scope in the U.S. trades.

CKYHE had already submitted a formal letter to China’s Ministry of Transport (MOT), and had informed the EU Commission of developments.

In U.S. trades, CKYHE will follow the same pattern of cooperation that the alliance members have used in the Asia/Europe, and Mediterranean trades during the past year.

Subject to regulatory approval, the parties will discuss and agree their cooperation with a target implementation date of spring 2015.
