Universal Marine Orders Four Boxships

Dutch shipper Universal Marine has placed an order, its biggest yet, for four 2,350 TEU containerships to be built at Sainty Marine Corp. Ltd.

The construction of the vessels will begin in 2015, with deliveries scheduled to start from 2016.

The total value of the contract is estimated at $166 million.

During March, Sainty Marine has booked orders for ten 64,000 dwt bulk carriers and six 12,000 dwt multi-purpose vessels.
