NYK has reached time charter agreements for eight new containerships, to be built at the Kure shipyard of Japan Marine United Co. Ltd., each capable of carrying 14,000 TEUs.

UAE: Drydocks World to Build Two Unique Jack-Up Rigs

Drydocks World has signed an Agreement with Malta Oil & Gas Ltd. for building two unique jack-up drilling rigs based on Gusto MSC CJ54-X135-A design.

Havyard Bags Hybrid Battery-Powered Arctic PSV

Havyard Group AS and Fafnir Offshore have signed a $56.6 million contract for the construction of Havyard 833 WE ICE platform supply vessel.

Heerema and Technip Win Kaombo Contract

The consortium, comprising Heerema Marine Contractors (Heerema) and Technip, was awarded a major lump-sum contract by Total E&P Angola for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation (EPCI) and pre-commissioning for the SURF (subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines) part of the Kaombo project.

Lockheed Martin’s First LNG Tank Ready for Integration

Lockheed Martin’s first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) tank has transitioned from the assembly line to the shipyard for integration with the Wärtsilä LNG propulsion system.
