Petrobras Charters Capital Product Partners’ Quartet

Under the deal, which was agreed with Brazil’s oil and gas major Petrobras, the company’s 2008-built Alexandros II, Aristotelis II, Aris II, and the 2009-built Ayrton II would be hired for a period of two years.
The tankers, built by South Korea’s STX Offshore & Shipbuilding, were chartered our at a gross daily rate of USD 14,700.
Petrobras has the option to extend the respective time charters for an additional eleven months at USD 14,850 per day.
Capital Product Partners said that the new charters are subject to vetting inspections of each vessel and are expected to commence in the third quarter of 2018.
As a result of the employments of the 51,200 dwt tankers, the Partnership’s charter coverage for 2018 has increased to 70%.
