The Port of Los Angeles closed its 12-month fiscal year with total cargo volumes of 9.2 million TEUs, hitting its new annual record for most container throughput for a Western Hemisphere port.

The volumes fro the 12-month period increased by 9.7 percent, compared to 8.4 million TEU seen in the previous fiscal year ended June 30, 2016.

“Despite unprecedented change in our industry, we are demonstrating the LA Advantage in terms of world-class infrastructure, competitive pricing and extraordinary customer service,” Seroka added.
