Singapore-based breakbulk, project cargo and heavy lift carrier AAL has launched a new, scheduled Gulf-Asia semi liner-service.

The new semi-liner service calls the ports including Mumbai (India), Karachi (Pakistan), Ras Laffan (Qatar), Umm Qasr (Iraq), Doha (Qatar), Jebel Ali, Muscat (Oman), Chennai (India), Shanghai, Qingdao, Xingang (China), Masan, Ulsan (South Korea), Kobe, Yokohama (Japan).

The service was launched by loading a 200-megaton super-yacht on the company’s first call at the Dubai port of Jebel Ali.

The yacht was loaded onto the 19,000 dwt S-Class vessel AAL Fremantle using the vessel’s port side mounted cranes and will be discharged in Newcastle, Australia.

Worth USD 11 million, the handcrafted yacht was built by UAE manufacturer Gulf Craft.
