Infographic: Mediterranean Sea Migrant Arrivals 2014 – 2015

In the past year, the number of refugees and migrants crossing the Mediterranean has increased. Many people left their homes fleeing from war and poverty hoping to find a better place to live. In this attempt they are trying to reach Europe aboard unseaworthy boats and dinghies. Unfortunately, many of them fail to reach this goal.

The following infographic shows the number of arrivals via the Mediterranean Sea, as well as the number of missing, or dead immigrants followed by other interesting information.
