Glencore Charters Another Diana Bulker

NYSE-listed dry bulk shipping company Diana Shipping has, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, entered into a time charter contract with Glencore Grain B.V., Rotterdam, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Protefs.

The gross charter rate is USD 6,250 per day minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum eleven months to maximum fourteen months. The charter commenced on April 3, 2015.

The Protefs is a 73,630 dwt Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2004.

This employment is anticipated to generate approximately USD 2.06 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

The Protefs is the tenth Panamax, and the eleventh bulker overall that Diana has on a time charter contract with Glencore.
