ISS Palumbo Swoops on Union Transport

ISS Palumbo UK, part of Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), has acquired Newcastle-based freight forwarding specialist Union Transport.

The merger of the Union Transport business with ISS Palumbo and its network will enhance the combination of global project freight forwarding and integrated logistics ISS Palumbo offers to its customers, including ENI, SAIPEM and Air Products.

Andrea Palumbo, President of ISS Palumbo, said:”I am very pleased with our new acquisition which combines the global network of ISS and ISS Palumbo with the capabilities of Union Transport in international freight forwarding services and logistics, especially in the offshore sector. Union Transport has a long established relationship with ISS Palumbo as their agent and we can now offer our customers a global solution from the U.K.”
