Stream Marine Training, which was formed in January 2014, is the first to offer this course to the offshore industry, and is starting bookings for 5 day courses at its new training offices and facilities.

The company practices delegate welfare and quality training. A designated member of its team can attend to any queries and assist trainees when required throughout their course.

Stream Marine Training is a Scottish Enterprise account managed business, working closely with other individuals and businesses to look at grants and funding options toward the costs of the ICATS training courses.

Martin White, CEO at Stream Marine Training said: “As a young company we are proud to be asked to become the provider for ICATS training across Scotland and offer what is a very well recognised and highly regarded standard in the painting and coating industry both onshore and offshore.”

ICATS was produced by Correx Ltd in conjunction with the Highways Agency and Network Rail as a response to the increased demands of industry.

Driven by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), SMW gathers the international maritime community in Singapore for a week of conferences, dialogues, exhibitions and social events in celebration of all things maritime. The range of activities and events organised by MPA, the industry and research and educational institutions, as well as the cosmopolitan profile of participants, reflect the vibrancy and diversity of Singapore as a major international maritime centre.

SMW has grown in size and significance since the inaugural event in 2006, and is attracting more participants and event organisers from around the world. Participants can experience something new every year. As activities are added to the line-up, and as eminent speakers share their insights and participate in dialogues on topical maritime issues. This dynamism and the good range of issues discussed during SMW are major for maritime decision-makers, as are the many business networking platforms.
