GC Rieber Extends Option for 2nd Seismic Vessel

GC Rieber Shipping and Kleven Maritime have agreed to extend the option for a second 3D high capacity seismic vessel by another two months.

The parties today entered a new supplementary agreement of extending the option to the end of January 2014.

Reference is made to the stock exchange announcements dated 13 February 2013 and 2 September 2013, regarding an agreement between GC Rieber Shipping ASA and Kleven Maritime AS about building a 3D seismic vessel.

The vessel, type ST 324 XT from Skipsteknisk, will be 113 meters long and 21.5 meters wide, and will have the capacity to accommodate 70 people. The vessel will be equipped with the capacity to tow 22 streamers. This advanced seismic vessel will meet ice class ICE 1A, providing a solid base for operations in arctic areas.

The first vessel is slated for delivery from Myklebust Verft in March 2015.
