At around 02.30 this morning, 4 December 2013, a fire broke out on the ro-ro vessel CORONA SEAWAYS, while the vessel was en route from Frederica to Copenhagen.

Drydocks World Signs LOI to Build World’s Largest Jack-Up Rigs

Drydocks World the internationally renowned provider of maritime and offshore services to the shipping, oil, gas and energy sectors, today signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Offshore Innovation Management Ltd., to build a series of AJ 62-X135 series of multi-purpose (accommodation & construction) Jack-Up rigs. The projects will commence in 2014 and the first rig is expected to be delivered in 2016.

Shell Floats Out Hull for World’s Largest Floating Facility (VIDEO)

The 488-metre-long-hull of Shell’s Prelude floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility has been floated out of the dry dock at the Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) yard in Geoje, South Korea, where the facility is currently under construction.

PIRIOU has won a firm order for two, plus an option for a third, new generation freezer tuna purse seiner ships that will be built for for SAPMER Holding.
