South Korea: Hyundai Mipo to Build Five Tankers

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) from Ulsan, South Korea, has signed contract worth circa $186.6 million for the construction of five chemical tankers.

The vessels were ordered by an unnamed ship owner from Europe.

Hyundai Mipo revealed in a regulatory filing to the Korea Stock Exchange that all the vessels should be delivered by the end of August 2016.

Just few week ago Hyundai Mipo won three shipbuilding deals for the construction of 20 vessels in total.
