Fiskerstrand Verft held a naming ceremony for four ferries ordered by Boreal Transport Nord on Thursday the 14th of November.
The ferries which are named Herøysund, Husøy, Lovund and Tenna will operate on routes in the Helgeland area of Norway. The new building represents a significant capacity increase on the actual crossings.
All ferries have a capacity of 50 cars and 249 passengers. Two of the ferries have closed vehicle decks and two have open decks. Emissions-friendly diesel engines in combination with highly efficient the hull shapes are enhancing the environmental impact significantly compared to existing tonnage.
