NCL America’s New Cruise Ship Pride of Hawaii Dedicated in Los Angeles

NCL America’s Pride of Hawaiii, the largest and most luxurious U.S.-flagged cruise ship in history, was formally dedicated on May 20th in Los Angeles. U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye, Pride of Hawaii’s sponsor, said “the christening of Pride of Hawaii is the capstone of America’s return to the passenger cruise industry.” Pride of Hawaii will join Pride of America as the second of two U.S.-flag cruise ships sailing under the NCL America brand built following enactment of the “Hawaii Cruise Ship Initiative” sponsored by Inouye and passed by the United States Congress in February 2003.
