Taiwanese shipping company Wisdom Marine Lines is continuing with its fleet renewal program as it ordered another bulk carrier in Japan.

On November 29, the company said it placed an order with Onomichi Dockyard for one 37,000 dwt bulker.

The newbuilding unit is valued at USD 24 million.

Earlier this year, Wisdom Marine also ordered two 82,300 dwt bulk carriers at Tsuenishi Zhoushan Shipbuilding in China and several vessels at Japanese shipyards.

In addition, the company took delivery of a number of bulkers, the most recent being Amis Star, which was handed over last week by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Dalian) shipyard.

Wisdom Marine’s fleet currently comprises 131 vessels, according to the company’s website.
