Greek dry bulk shipowner Diana Shipping has agreed to extend the time charter contract with Germany’s Uniper Global Commodities for one of its Post-Panamaxes.

Under the agreement, the company’s 87,150 dwt Electra would continue working for Uniper for a period until mid-September 2019 or mid-December 2019 the latest.

During the extended period, the 2013-built bulker would work at a gross charter rate of USD 13,500 per day, as compared to the earlier earned rate of USD 8,000 per day.

The new charter period started on October 19, 2018.

Diana Shipping informed that the employment extension is expected to generate around USD 4.4 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter extension.
