South Korean shipping major Hyundai Merchant Marine has signed an agreement to hire a Panamax boxship from Greek company Diana Containerships.

Under the agreement between the parties, Diana’s 5,042 TEU container vessel Pamina is scheduled to start working for HMM from August 24, 2018.

The deal, which was signed for a period of eight to twelve months, would see the 2005-built ship earn a gross charter rate of USD 11,950 per day.

This employment is anticipated to generate USD 2.87 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

Pamina is currently chartered to Hong Kong-based Orient Overseas Container Line at USD 9,500 per day.
