Greek corporation TMS Cardiff Gas has reportedly placed an order for three LNG carriers with two Korean shipbuilders.

Based on the data from Asiasis, two 174,000 cbm LNG carriers have been ordered from Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and one 170, 400 cbm LNG carrier from Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI).

Price and delivery dates have not been revealed.

The company is yet to provide World Maritime News with a comment on the matter.

In January 2018, TMS Cardiff Gas inked a construction contract with HHI for a 174,000 cbm LNG carrier with XDF propulsion.

Under the deal, the company had an option for a second vessel. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2020, when it will start working for TOTAL Gas & Power Chartering.

The latest three orders, if confirmed, would bring the company’s fleet of managed vessels to 13.
