Greek boxship owner Diana Containerships has agreed to extend a time charter contract with Wan Hai Lines (Singapore) for one of its Post-Panamax vessels, the m/v Rotterdam.

Under the deal, the company’s 6,494 TEU containership will continue working for Wan Hai at a gross charter rate of USD 18,200 per day for a period of up to minimum April 15, 2019, to maximum July 15, 2019.

The charter will commence on July 13, 2018.

The m/v Rotterdam is currently chartered at a gross charter rate of USD 13,150 per day.

As informed, the employment of the 2008-built ship is anticipated to generate approximately USD 4.95 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

Upon completion of the previously announced sales of two Post-Panamax container vessels, Diana Containerships’ fleet will comprise four container vessels — two Post-Panamaxes and two Panamaxes.
