The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is welcoming the 25 millionth cruise passenger through the port.

The port authority will host a celebration at Canada Place on May 23, 2018.

This year, 32 different vessels from fourteen cruise lines on 241 calls will be visiting Canada Place cruise terminal at the Port of Vancouver ranging from expedition ships to some of the largest vessels in the Alaska cruise market.

Canada Place at the Port of Vancouver is Canada’s largest cruise port and has been the homeport to the Vancouver-Alaska cruises for more than 30 years.

Last year, the Port of Vancouver’s cruise terminal welcomed a total of 842,928 passengers, an increase of 2 percent year over year.

In addition, the port’s cruise sector recorded 236 voyages in 2017, up by 4 percent compared to 228 voyages in 2016, the Port of Vancouver’s data shows.
