Vessel manager and operator dship Carriers, a part of the deugro Group, has expanded its fleet by adding two multi-purpose vessels.

The company has jointly acquired two F360-type vessels, in cooperation with HS Bereederungs GmbH & Co. KG.

The first unit, now named MV Sophia, was transferred on April 6, 2018 in Port Everglades, USA, while the second ship, MV Josef, is scheduled to be transferred to its new owners in June.

dship Carriers said that it has taken both units under long-term charter, adding that HS
Bereederungs will take over their technical management.

“The new ships, with their open hatch box shaped design and combined lifting capacity of 360 metric tons, enable us to load a larger variety of project cargo. We are glad to be able to strengthen our fleet with these two modern vessels,” said Lars Feller, Global Vice President of dship Carriers.

The acquisition is part of dship Carriers’ fleet expansion plan to increase its market presence. The company informed that it continues to look for further grow opportunities.
