Greek dry bulk shipowner Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract for one of its Newcastlemax dry bulk vessels.

Under the charter continuation deal signed with Geneva-based SwissMarine Services, the company would charter its 206,104 dwt Los Angeles at a gross charter rate of USD 19,150 per day.

The charter, expected to commence on April 17, was agreed for a period of about nine to twelve months.

Diana Shipping said that employment of the 2012-built Los Angeles is to generate around USD 4.88 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

The company’s fleet currently consists of 50 dry bulk vessels with a combined carrying capacity of 5.8 million dwt.
