SwissMarine Extends Charter for Diana Shipping’s Capesize

Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract for one of its Capesize vessels, the M/V Aliki.

Under the deal, reached with Geneva-based SwissMarine Services, the 180,235 dwt unit will be chartered at a gross charter rate of USD 18,000 per day for a period of twenty to twenty-two months.

Diana Shipping informed that the charter is expected to commence on April 4, 2018.

The 2005-built Aliki is currently chartered to SwissMarine Services at a rate of USD 10,300 per day.

This employment is anticipated to generate some USD 10.8 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
