AIDAvita, a 2002-built cruise ship owned by German cruise line AIDA Cruises, started its first Selection cruise from Miami, Florida, on March 5.

A day later, the ship began its 19-day Transatlantic journey to Hamburg from Port Everglades, Florida, accompanied by fireworks.

During the voyage, AIDAvita will make stops at Port Canaveral, Florida, and Port of Hamilton, Bermuda. From there, the cruise vessel will visit Ponta Delgada in the Azores, La Coruna in Spain as well as Falmouth and Dover in the United Kingdom.

AIDAvita is expected to arrive in Hamburg on March 24, according to AIDA Cruises.

With a gross tonnage of 42,289 tons, the cruise ship features a length of 203 meters and a width of 28 meters.

Belonging to the company’s first generation of vessels, AIDAvita is one of the three ships offering AIDA Selection cruises.
