Offen Claus-Peter Disposes of Two MR2 Tankers

Germany-based shipping company Offen Claus-Peter has sold two medium-range 2 (MR2) chemical/product tankers to an undisclosed buyer, according to information provided by VesselsValue.

The two ships, CPO Japan and CPO Korea, were sold on February 3, 2017, through bank sale for USD 18.7 million and USD 17.3 million, respectively.

The vessels’ market values currently stand at USD 21.14 million and USD 19.88 million.

Built at South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, both tankers have a deadweight tonnage of 52,000 tons.

The 2010-built CPO Japan and the 2009-built CPO Korea each feature a length of 183 meters and a width of 32.2 meters.

Following the sale, Offen Tankers/Bulkers (Claus-Peter Offen Tankschiffreederei), part of Offen Claus-Peter Group, manages a fleet of 36 tankers and bulk carriers, the company’s data shows.
