Epic Gas Adds Sixth Newbuilding LPG Carrier to Fleet

Singapore-based owner and operator of pressurized gas carriers Epic Gas has taken delivery of the 7,500cbm liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carrier Epic Baluan from Sasaki Shipyard, Japan.

Epic Baluan is the sixth vessel in the company’s series of eight newbuildings.

The deliveries of two remaining newbuilding vessels in the series, the 11,000cbm Epic Sardinia, to be delivered to Epic Gas under a bareboat charter, and the 10,000cbm Epic Salina, from Japan’s Kyokuyo Shipyard, are scheduled for the first quarter of 2017.

Following the delivery of the remaining two newbuildings, Epic Gas will own and operate a fleet of 41 fully pressurised gas carriers providing seaborne services for the transportation of liquefied petroleum gas and petrochemicals.
