Maverick Gunner to Be Auctioned Off in Singapore

The 80,717 dwt bulk carrier Maverick Gunner has been put up for auction in Singapore after it was arrested in September, according to data provided by the Supreme Court of Singapore.

The closing date for bids for the 2010-built bulker, operated by Greece-based shipping firm Efploia Shipping, was set at 3 pm local time on December 19.

Supreme Court’s records show that the net value of bunkers on board Maverick Gunner is USD 168,019, which is excluded from the sale. The amount is not negotiable and has to be paid by the purchaser.

The vessel will be sold on an “as is where is” basis and the sale is on the Sheriff’s standard Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Featuring a length of 229 meters and a width of 32 meters, the bulker was arrested on September 22. Arresting solicitor was Asia Practice LLP.

AIS data provided by MarineTraffic shows that the ship, which has a market value of USD 13 million, arrived in Singapore a day prior to the arrest, where it was anchored ever since.
