Estonian shipping company Tallink Grupp transported a total of 705,035 passengers during September, which represents an increase of 11.5 percent compared to 632,379 passengers seen in September 2015.
On the Finland-Estonia route the company transported a total of 386,138 passengers in September, 10.7 percent more than last year, while the number of passengers on the Sweden-Estonia route increased by 6.3 percent to 73,913.
Tallink said that the Finland-Sweden routes saw a rise of 14.7 percent in passenger volumes to 204,546, adding that the Latvia-Sweden route’s volumes increased by 13.5 percent to 40,438.
The number of transported cargo units increased by 8.8 percent to 30,560 units in September and by 6.7 percent to 81,170 units in the third quarter.
The number of passenger vehicles grew by 8.5 percent to 93,678 vehicles during the month and by 6.2 percent to 380,343 vehicles in the third quarter.
In the third quarter of 2016, Tallink transported 2.85 million passengers, a 5.7 percent increase compared to the numbers reported in the previous year.
