d’Amico Tankers Limited (Ireland) has agreed with d’Amico Shipping Italia S.p.A. to buy the second-hand product tanker Cielo di Milano.

The 40,081 dwt 2003-built ship was priced at USD 14 million to be paid by cash on delivery.

“The purchase need arises from the characteristics of the features of this ship suited to a specific route in which it will be immediately engaged,” the company said.

”This purchase adds to our fleet a unit that we know very well, and that allows us to engage it on a specific trade route that meets perfectly with its technical features,” Marco Fiori, Chief Executive Officer of d’Amico International Shipping, added.

The company, however; did not disclose details on the ship’s trade route or delivery date.

Following this acquisition, d’Amico Tankers Limited owns 50.8 product tankers, of which 40.8 are Medium Range (MR) and the remaining are Handysize product tankers, of which 27.3 are owned vessels and 23.5 chartered-in vessels.
