Helsinki Court Dismisses Court Order against Finnsteve

The Helsinki District Court has rejected the temporary court order against Finnlines Plc’s subsidiary Finnsteve Oy Ab (Finnsteve) which was requested by the Port of Helsinki Ltd, Finnlines said.

The Port of Helsinki requested a right to force Finnsteve to empty certain areas in the Vuosaari harbour, which Finnsteve claims are essential to its business and operations, and to oblige Finnsteve to provide crane services on request by the two company-owned cranes to any third party designated by the Port of Helsinki.

The Port of Helsinki did not give any information showing that there would be any third parties in need of additional areas or crane services in Vuosaari harbour.

Finnsteve-companies, part of the Finnlines Group, are a full service port operators. Finnsteve Oy Ab is the largest port operator in Vuosaari Port and in Turku port, specializing in unitised cargo traffic.
