Tokyo Marine, Jo Tankers Terminate Joint Pool

The pool managers of the Milestone Chemical Tankers Pte. Ltd. (MCT), Tokyo Marine Asia Pte Ltd and Jo Tankers AS, have decided to cease joint-business and joint-operations in the pool as of the 1st of October, 2015.

However, the two companies said they shall ensure uninterrupted services and carry out all contracts with the remaining periods.

“The participants would like to thank all the customers and all the business partners for their tremendous supports and hope it will be extended to TMA and JoT,” the joint statement reads.

The pool was formed in September 2013 when the two companies established Milestone Chemical Tankers Pte., headquartered in Singapore. MCT operated a fleet of sixty Stainless Steel tankers and managed the whole chartering and operations for all vessels  under operations of Tokyo Marine and Jo Tankers.

In addition to the head office in Singapore, MCT had regional offices in Bergen, London and Houston.
