Uljanik to Build Livestock Carrier for Kuwaiti Client

Croatian shipbuilder Uljanik signed a contract with Livestock Transport & Trading Co. of Kuwait for the construction of one livestock carrier.

The contract was signed on September 1, according to the company’s announcement on Zagreb Stock Exchange.

The 13,700 dwt livestock carrier will be 181 meters long and have a 8.7m draft.

The vessel will have around 28,000 square meters of net pen area, and its maximum speed will be 19.8 knots.

The delivery date is set for the end of 2017. Uljanik did not disclose the value of the contract.
