Rotterdam Joins Diana’s Fleet

Nasdaq-listed container ship owner Diana Containerships has added one more Post-Panamax to its fleet.

Diana, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, took delivery of the 2008-built m/v Rotterdam on September 10.

The company entered into an agreement to buy the 6,500 TEU Rotterdam for USD 37.5 million back in July.

Including the newly delivered Rotterdam, Diana Containerships’ fleet currently consists of 14 container vessels ranging from 3,426 TEU to 6,541 TEU in capacity.

The company also expects to take delivery of one more 6,500 TEU boxship – the 2009-built m/v Hamburg – by the end of November 2015.
