Image of the Day: MV Tamesis Gets a New Nose

MV Tamesis, a new generation Mark IV RoRo ship owned by Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA, is photographed here during the change of her bulb.

The new bulb has a more efficient design, which will cut the ship’s bunker consumption.

The Mark IV RoRo provides 35% more covered capacity for specialised RoRo cargo than the previous Mark III design. MV Tamesis is a sister ship to MV Talisman, MV Tarago and MV Tamerlane.
