United States: cruise auctioneer faces fraud charges

More than two dozen people have sued cruise ship auctioneer Park West on Tuesday, alleging the company sold them fake, forged or overpriced artwork, according to reports in the Detroit Free-Press in the United States. The suit, filed in a Michigan county circuit court, is the latest in a flurry of litigation the biggest seller of art on cruise ships. At least seven other state and federal suits are pending in the Detroit area and Seattle, according to Detroit Free-Press.
