Emirates Shipping Line Upgrades East Africa Service

Emirates Shipping Line Upgrades Middle East-Africa Service

Dubai-based Emirates Shipping Line is launching two new services – the Gulf Mombasa Express (GMX) and the Gulf India Africa (GIA) with partners.

To make these services operationally effective, 4 vessels of 1600 – 2200 TEU nominal capacity will be deployed on GMX service and 6 vessels of 2500 – 2700 TEU nominal capacity will be deployed on the GIA service. Emirates Shipping Line will deploy 2 Vessels in the GIA loop.

The two new restructured services offer a direct fixed scheduled weekly service out of common ports through competitive transit time; ensuring port delays do not impact the quality of service on either loop.

The Gulf Mombasa Express (GMX) service has a port rotation of: Jebel Ali – Khor Fakkan – Mombasa – Jebel Ali; and the Gulf India Africa (GIA) service has a port rotation of: Nhava Sheva – Jebel Ali – Khor Fakkan – Dar-Es-Salaam– Zanzibar –Nacala-Nhava Sheva.

The new GIA will commence on December 3 from Nhava Sheva and the new GMX will commence on December 5 from Jebel Ali.
