Hyundai Heavy Scores Order for Two VLCCs

Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HHI) and DHT Holdings, Inc. (DHT) have entered into an agreement for the construction of two very large crude carriers (VLCCs) with a contract price of $92.7 million per vessel, including certain additions and upgrades to the standard specification.

Also, DHT has an option for a third VLCC at the same price for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The vessels are of 300,000 dwt and will be delivered in July and September 2016, respectively.
