Bahri Dry Bulk Gets New Vessel from Japan

The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) said that its subsidiary Bahri Dry Bulk today received a dry bulk vessel named Bahri Wafi from Japanese shipyard.

This is the fourth vessel delivered from the series of five ordered in 2012. The financial impact of the delivered vessel will materialize during the first quarter of 2014.

This type of vessels, with capacity of 82,000 dwt and length of 229 meters, consumes less fuel and is labeled as eco-friendly.

The company started its operation through chartering of five vessels to Arasco. The said five will be replaced by the newly delivered vessels.

There is one vessel remaining under construction, which is expected to be delivered in the first half of 2014.
