IHC Merwede will present examples of its innovative vessels and advanced equipment for the demanding offshore industry at two important upcoming exhibitions. The company will also showcase its unique position in the offshore market of being able to design (from the concept, stage), engineer, build and commission innovative vessels and critical mission equipment to deliver a turnkey solution to the customer.
From 28 to 31 August IHC Merwede will be exhibiting at ONS in Stavanger, Norway. A model of the versatile IHC Supporter™ class, which is a modular vessel with a ready-to-build design, will be on display. This can be utilised for various purposes, such as diving support, cablelaying or offshore support, depending on the customer’s demands. All of the important mission equipment can be delivered by IHC Merwede’s subsidiaries, which makes it a fully integrated vessel.
IHC Hytop will show several small models of winches and power units. In addition to the Offshore Load Tension System (OLTS) a model of the new design of ‘the MaXine’ a heave compensation system for lifting and hoisting applications will be displayed. The MaXine can be used above and underwater. A model of its latest subsea frame will be shown by IHC Sea Steel.
From 17 to 20 September, IHC Merwede will also be present at the Rio Oil & Gas exhibition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Its main feature will be the 550T top tension pipelaying vessel for TL Offshore, a subsidiary of SapuraKencana. Two of these identical pipelaying vessels, which IHC Merwede is building, are destined to work for Petrobras in Brazilian waters. IHC Engineering Business is delivering the full pipelaying spread for the vessels, which underlines the unique proposition of IHC Merwede as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for the design, engineering, build and commissioning of integrated offshore solutions. A model of the IHC Hydrohammer® S-150 will also be exhibited.
