The Chief of Federal Agency of fisheries Andrey Krayniy recently attended the solemn keel laying ceremony of fishing vessel of Project PL-475. The project of resource-saving vessel of a new generation is developed by Scottish company Macduff Ship Design Ltd.
The vessel is intended for long line catching of bottom fishes in Norway, Barents seas and in Northern Atlantic area.
In November 2011, Macduff concluded a contract with the Leningrad shipyard “Pella” to provide a complete Design & Drawing package for an advanced design 47.5m Autoliner. Featuring a moon pool and a comprehensive processing deck the vessel will be the first of it’s class to be built in Russia, first of it’s class for a Russian owner and first large fishing vessel to be built by Pella Shipyard.
