Russian Cargo Vessel Sinks After Collision in Japan Sea

On Tuesday, February 7, a Russian vessel ‘Tanya Karpinskaya’ sunk in the Sea of Japan after colliding with a Singapore flagged container ship ‘Cat Duta’.

The 17 crew members, all of them Russian citizens, were rescued by the Coast Guard. Another crew member, who was considered missing, has been found ashore.

General cargo vessel ‘Tanya Karpinskaya’, built in 1975 in Romania, was managed by East Way LLC.
