Norway: Construction of Newbuilding 126 Continues at Simek Yard

 

Recently, blocks No. 1, 2, 3, and 4 for Newbuilding 126 arrived at Simek yard from Poland. Now, they will be sandblasted and painted, before they are assembled in the covered construction hall.

It will take a couple of months to finish the blocks and assemble them. In the next couple of months, the ship will be completely done, and tested in waters outside Flekkefjord.

The remaining Block 5 will be assembled after sea-launching by a floating crane.

Deadweight: 3280 t

Length o.a.: 73,69 m

Length p.p.: 68,20 m

Beam: 16,00 m

Depth, main deck: 7,00 m

Draught: 5,83 m

Speed: 14,2 knots

Sea-launching for the vessel is planed for May 12th, 2012 and delivery for July.
