Singapore-based container shipping company APL plans to launch the Andino Service (ANS), a new weekly regional service expected to enhance connectivity between West Coast South America and major ports in Asia and the United States, effective October 14, 2016.

According to the company, the connectivity will be enhanced via APL transshipment hubs of Manzanillo (Mexico), Cartagena, Buenaventura (Colombia) and Balboa (Panama).

“We are optimising our Latin America service network with the launch of the ANS service, to facilitate West Coast South America’s growing trade with Asia and the US,” Efrain Osorio, APL Head of Latin America Trade, said.

Commencing from San Antonio on October 14, the ANS service will call the ports of San Antonio (Chile), Callao (Peru), Guayaquil (Ecuador), Buenaventura, Manzanillo, Kingston (Jamaica), Cartagena and Balboa.
