Dredging on Shrewsbury River Kicks Off

Dredging is scheduled to begin today on parts of the Shrewsbury and Navesink rivers. U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, D-N.J., announced the dredging Friday. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will use one of its dredges to remove about 60,000 cubic yards of sand and place it just offshore of the Sandy Hook beaches.
